This project was constructed for the City of Loveland as a regional detention facility. Connell Resources performed the earthwork, erosion control, pipe installation, armor flex placement and all dewatering for this project. The project was to construct a new regional detention pond out of an old irrigation pond and adjacent wetlands. This meant the majority of the work was done in very wet conditions. We had to keep water flowing through the project during construction as this area took on upstream irrigation flows and storm water flows from adjacent subdivisions. Despite the working conditions this project was completed on time and within budget.
