Curtis Lake Pump Station

Project Overview

Curtis Lake Pump Station was a design build project completed for Water Supply and Storage Company. The project includes the design and manufacturing of a floating pump barge system with a floating distribution line from the barge location approx. 400 LF from shore, installation of 4000 LF of buried 30” HDPE, shoreline connection/outlet structures, pump control systems and power supply systems from PVREA located 5 miles away from the site. The goal of the project was to supply a pumping system that could transfer at least 24 cfs or up to 10,800 gallons per minute of water back into the Larimer Canal No.1 from Curtis Reservoir. Final testing of the system provided flow rates of up to 27 cfs or 12,150 gallons per minute. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.
