Mail Creek Stream Rehab

Project Overview

Work included earthwork and excavation, rip rap and cobble placement, storm sewer pipe and inlets, topsoil, stream enhancements and bank stabilization measures.

The entire project was completed during the winter months to utilize the low creek flows.  However, the effort to redirect the water around and through the project was extensive and dynamic as the project progressed.   To ensure a low impact all trees were surveyed, and the project was laid out around the healthy trees to retain.  The topsoil was all amended with imported compost to allow quick revegetation.  There were also new trees added throughout the project.  At the low end we added a matrix rip rap section under the bridge to tie into the existing grades beyond the reach we rehabilitated.
